These particular cottages are meant to be used as a "travel destination" to watch the northern lights in the winter or explore the famous Eyjafjallajökull, the glacier mountain that erupted in 2010, or the Mýrdalsjökull glacier; and in the summer - you can do it on the back of an Icelandic Pony. For me (even though I would love to take a vacation there) the draw of these cottages is how they could be re-purposed for full time living for the thousands of Americans who are wanting, or having to downsize their current living arrangements.
