HVOLL Cottages in Iceland

These particular cottages are meant to be used as a "travel destination" to watch the northern lights in the winter or explore the famous Eyjafjallajökull, the glacier mountain that erupted in 2010, or the Mýrdalsjökull glacier; and in the summer - you can do it on the back of an Icelandic Pony.

For me (even though I would love to take a vacation there) the draw of these cottages is how they could be re-purposed for full time living for the thousands of Americans who are wanting, or having to downsize their current living arrangements.

Let me hear your thoughts on living tiny, on purpose, as an alternative to the current McMansion way of life in the U.S.
